Kristin Overman- founder and Director

I am a missionary kid. I grew up in Spain on small cobblestone streets, with fresh markets, a slow-paced life, siesta time, wonderful food, and unique traditions. In my home I saw the sacrifice of ministry, love for people, the hospitality of Christ, and enjoyed the close fellowship of small church-planting work.

My husband, Tim, and I are best friends. The story of our family is that God laughed at us for making our own plan. We struggled with infertility and lost several adoptions. God, in His time, blessed us with five boys, Micah, Noah, Josiah , Thaddeus, and Creed.  Becoming a mother was the best gift I ever received (besides my salvation) and I do not take it for granted!

I love to communicate what I learn and help others reach their potential. I have the privilege of homeschooling my kids and personally believe homeschooling promotes wonderful relationship between parent and child, learning that is tailored to the uniqueness of the individual, and promotes a love of life-time learning when done correctly. My desire in starting Abundant Homes was to promote a better way to learn, help parents in raising and teaching their own kids, and support God’s structure of the family.

JOHN AND RAQUEL RAMACCOTTI

We are a physically active family, enjoying hiking and mountain bikes. Both Kelsey and Lacey are grey belts in jujitsu. Our homeschool journey started 5 years ago.  We attempted public school, but quickly discovered our family values were very different from the values that were being taught in the public schools. Homeschooling has allowed us to grow closer as a family and has opened the doors for our family to be involved politically in New Mexico. We look forward to helping other families begin homeschooling.

John and Raquel serve on the board as secretary, fundraising, marketing and community relations coordinators.
